Oil tempera painting by Swedish artist Inga Björstedt. Inga was born in Japan during WWII. Memories from her years as a child in Japan and the first years back in Sweden make up the world of her art. Since her mother died while giving birth to her the dresses are empty. There´s a person missing in Inga´s life. Rice bowls, a chair, the blue walls of the shelter, ballet shoes and dresses are other objects that reflects back to those early years. It is work that is sensitive and imaginative, fragile and strong at the same time.
