Oil painting on canvas by French/German artist George Mosson. Born in Aix-en-Provence in 1851 Mosson moved to Berlin at the age of 14. Was one of the founders of Vereinigung der XI in 1892 and was also one of the founders of the impressionist movement in Germany through the Berliner Secession in 1898. With the decline of the Secession he started the Freien Sezession with Max Liebermann and Herman Freese. Mosson is famous for his still lives of flowers.
