Original painting by Swedish artist Bengt Lindström. Painted in the summer of 2002 as a series of model studies called The Blue Archive. Signed á tergo with certificate of proof from Bengt Lindström´s widow.

Bengt Lindström, Swedish artist born in 1925 in Härjedalen, Sweden. He moved to Stockholm in 1944 where he during a short period studied at the University for arts, crafts and design and for Isaac Grünewald. Lived in Paris from 1948 where he studied for André Lhotes and Fernand Léger.

His early oeuvre went in a cubistic direction which was developed into a colorful and spontaneous style in connection with the cobra-group. With large brush stokes he painted grotesque figures with strong radiance.

His international fame rose after an exhibition in Paris 1958. From the mid 1990´s he married Michèle Sadoun, a gallerist from Paris. Bengt Lindström moved back to Sweden in 2004 where he died in 2008.
